I found the BEST alternative for high carb/calorie tacos! Instead of using a tortilla (which are about 120 calories for one tortilla) use romaine lettuce sleeves! Genius! And surprisingly, very filling! And you can have like 3 or 4 "taco wraps" and not even feel guilty about it!
Ingredients:
1 pound ground turkey
Inner romaine lettuce sleeves
Taco seasoning of choosing
Tomatoes
Olives
Low-fat cheese
Non-fat sour cream
Any other preferred taco toppings. These are the ones I use but feel free to dress it up as you like!
Assemble as you would a regular taco and enjoy!
Now I realize that not everyone is on a calorie cutting kick like me, but for the next month or so, you're just going to have to deal with my boring and healthy recipes. And, you will probably be hearing from me on a more regular basis! The hubs got me an iPad for my birthday and I got the blogger app! Wooo!
